Daniel Doyle, 24, of Smallwood, Sutton Hill and Dean Butler, aged 23, of no fixed abode have admitted the charge but denied conspiracy to murder and false imprisonment.

They were among seven people who appeared at Birmingham Crown Court today relating to the incident that happened at a private address in Willowfield in Woodside, on September 1.

A 20-year-old man had to be treated in hospital following the incident.

Stephanie Christine Titley, 25, of Willowfield, Woodside; Gavin Smith, 19, of Southgate, Sutton Hill; Luke Mansell, 23, of Southgate, Sutton Hill and Nathan Peter Bates, 19, of Villa Court, Madeley all deny conspiracy to murder, GBH with intent and false imprisonment.

A 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, also appeared at court but gave no plea.

A trial will now be heard in March at a venue which is yet to be decided, with a preliminary hearing to be heard next month and the case was adjourned until that time.
