Pave Aways is hosting an online Meet The Buyer session on February 19 from 9am to midday for businesses interested in working on the £8.44 million project to deliver new carbon neutral facilities that will expand primary school provision in north Shrewsbury.

The new flagship facility in Featherbed Lane will allow Sundorne Infant School and Nursery to move from its existing home on Corndon Crescent and relocate on to the same site as Harlescott Junior School, enabling the Haughmond Federation to consolidate its infant and junior provision on a single site.

Pave Aways is looking for businesses within a 25-mile radius of Shrewsbury to join its trusted supply chain for the project. In particular, it is looking for businesses or trades specialising in shuttering joiners and reinforcement works, bricklayers, rainscreen cladding (Trespa/Rock panel/timber etc), external windows and doors, joiners, suspended ceiling and internal stud partition contractors, plastering contractors, floor finishes contractors, decorators, external signage contractors, tarmacadam contractors, roller blinds and builders’ cleans.

Managing director Steven Owen said: “There is a wealth of opportunities for businesses that reflect our values and commitment to construction excellence to work on this exciting project.

“We are looking for local suppliers and contractors based so we can ensure this build has a positive financial impact on the community. We can also offer business and skill mentoring to smaller businesses or tradesmen that want to explore their potential for growth.”

Pave Aways will also be offering opportunities for people looking to get back to work in the construction sector. To express an interest or register for a time slot on February 19 email info@paveaways.co.uk
