Administrators appointed to Telford electronics manufacturing business

Administrators have been appointed to handle the affairs of a Telford manufacturing business.

ALW Group (UK) Limited, which has a trading name of ALW, is a manufacturer of electronic components with a trading address of Plot 8,Tweedale North Road, in Madeley.

An official notice of the appointment of administrators was made on the London Gazette official listing site on May 26.

The joint administrators have been named as James Fish and Craig Johns of Cowgill Holloway Business Recovery LLP, based in Bolton.

The company and the administrator have been asked for comment.

ALW Group was registered as a private limited company at Companies House on July 20, 2011.

It is listed as having one director, Bruce Charles Nicholas Lane, a British national, aged 69, who owns 75 per cent of the company.

In its financial reports dated September 2021, it is recorded as employing 22 people.

The company's website and phone number were operating as normal this week.

The website says it has industrial units covering some 20,000 square feet, with complete in-house and on site refurbishing facilities, including full machining equipment, fabrication facilities and paint finishing.

An ISO 9001 certified company it has been operating for nearly 37 years, originally supplying its local electricity board, but they "soon found our products and services were in demand throughout the UK."

It lists work with major utility companies.
