The Newtown-based company is representing Wales on May 27 at the virtual UK final of FSB Small Business 2020 Awards, postponed from last year.

EvaBuild, which is competing for the UK High Growth Business of the Year award, has grown from just three members of staff, when the company was incorporated in 2011, to 42 staff, with more recruitment in the pipeline.

The growth is continuing this year with a record number of new contracts secured.

A 10th birthday event is being planned in June, subject to Covid-19 restrictions, when long serving members of staff will be recognised.

Charity fundraising activities are also planned during the year and the company is sponsoring the Construction Startup of the Year category at this year’s Wales Startup Awards.

EvaBuild was founded by managing director Nick Evans and his wife Lauren and her brother Dan Jones. They have since been joined on the board by Andy Hughes and Gavin Evans.

EvaBuild is initially responsible for setting-out sites and installing all groundworks and infrastructure before returning towards the end of the contract to landscape and complete the project to the highest specification.

“We are extremely grateful to our loyal workforce and to all our clients who have supported the business since its inception,” said Mr Evans.

“We are a company of colleagues that all work together with a common goal to deliver quality services to our clients.

“We are proud of the successful growth of the business over the past 10 years and look forward to further development to support the Mid Wales economy over the next decade.

“Despite the challenges of the pandemic, 2021 promises to be our busiest year yet as we have secured a record amount of work from clients across England and Wales who are expanding just like we are.
