Tony Morris-Eyton, senior director of Savills Estate Agents, will speak about his plans for his year as the High Sheriff.

In an interview with the Shropshire Star, he spoke about tourism, a sector which has been badly hit by Covid restrictions, as a huge driver towards the county’s economic recovery. Supporting business, employment and training opportunities will be a key focus.

He also spoke of aiming to “encourage, influence and publicise the efforts of the many faces of Shropshire” by helping to champion the unsung heroes of the county such as the police, doctors, nurses and volunteers. This includes the Midland Air Ambulance, a charity close to his heart.

The chamber event will be held virtually on May 19 at 3pm. It is free to members but there will be a small fee for non-members.
