Children's T-shirt competition launched to boost grassroots sports

A children’s T-shirt design competition has been launched in a bid to support grassroots sports clubs across Shropshire.

The Wonder Fund has been set up by Shropshire-based national business telecoms provider Enreach, and encourages children to create an impactful design using the company’s branding.

Amelia Ebdon, Enreach’s director of marketing UK, said the competition had been set up in response to the tough times local communities had been through recently.

She said: "We know just how important grassroots sport can be, to both mental and physical wellbeing, and after the challenges of the last year we want to show our support to as many local clubs as possible.

“We can't wait to see the entries rolling in and to offer our sponsorship going forwards. At Enreach, we’re all about collaboration and teamwork and can’t wait to see how our entrants demonstrate the same.”

Enreach, formerly Network Telecom, provides communications solutions including cloud phone systems, mobiles and business broadband to businesses across the UK.

As a result of working with many local businesses and welcoming colleagues from across the county, the company has recognised how hard the local community has been hit by the pandemic.

To be in with a chance of winning, children simply design their own Enreach T-shirt, and describe what sponsorship would mean to them. The most creative entries will win.

There are three prizes up for grabs – a one-year sponsorship worth £1,000, a £500 donation and a £300 donation.

The competition is open until June 11, with the winners being announced later in the month.
