Elliott Sterling is the founder and owner of a new Market Drayton training facility, Program King, offering tailored fitness programmes to clients wanting to improve their fitness.

The 30-year-old, from Ironbridge, has worked with footballers from Wolverhampton, Shrewsbury and Stoke in the past.

Elliott said that more and more people were recognising the importance of fitness thanks to lockdowns caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

People will be able to visit Elliott and his team for a unique fitness programme, and he has also launched an app for fellow trainers to create programmes on for clients.

In the coming months the app will create programmes for customers based on their fitness level, equipment and targets.

“I have been in the industry for more than 12 years now, it’s all I’ve ever done really,” Elliott said.

“Program King is not a gym in the traditional sense. It is a boutique training facility offering personal training and specific health guidance from experts.

“The app we launched with the business has two arms to it really – one is a subscription model for other health professionals to use to write programmes they can send to clients.

“The other side of it will launch in the forthcoming months which is more consumer based and will create adapted programmes for people.”

Elliott launched his business back in 2019 but due to the pandemic things were put on hold and he has now been able to reopen and get started again.

“Those of us who are health professionals in the industry, we have to be specific and adaptable in the way we provide service,” he added.

“Some people want to go to the gym, others don’t, it’s something that has changed recently.”

Program King is on social media and at https://programking.com/#main.
