Stacey Hill, who has run the Oberon clothes shop on Wyle Cop in Shrewsbury for 35 years, said she was slightly disappointed at the April 12 opening date announced by the Prime Minister but would focus on the positive.
With her shop closed due to lockdown restrictions Ms Hill has been running click and collect and special Instagram live trying-on sessions.
She said that there was frustration that retail will not be allowed to open sooner, but added that it was more important to make sure it is safe.
She said: “I was hoping it would be the last week of March, I know it is only two weeks but it will make a big difference in the world of retail.
“But if that is what it takes to get rid of the virus then I am with it and we will have to work as hard as ever to carry on with online, click and collect and Instagram and Facebook.”
The shop has, like others, been closed since January 4.
