£500k Co-op store opening in days

Co-op will open a new convenience store in Telford developed at cost of more than £500,000. A total of 14 jobs will be created at the food store, in Stafford Street, St Georges.

The 2,000sq ft branch built at cost of £525,000 is due to open on Friday.

Sally Hill, Co-op Store Manager, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to make such a significant investment in Telford - our new store has a great look and feel. We have worked to develop the range, choice, products and services that will create a really compelling offer locally to serve our community.

“Co-op is committed to connecting communities and making a difference locally, and to operating at the heart of local life.”

Facilities include parking, Costa coffee express, a bakery and free to use cash machine.
