The shop is one of six new tenants that will begin trading in the Darwin and Pride Hill Centres before Christmas.

The news follows the announcement by JD Sports that they are to open a new store in the centre later this month.

Other shops taking up spots in the centres are Menkind, Calender Club, Chipke, and local artist Megan Hawkins.

Shrewsbury shopping centres manager Kevin Lockwood said: “With new stores opening and vacancy rates at their lowest level for six years, this is great news for the centres and for Shrewsbury.

“Customers told us that they would love to see a Disney store in the centre, so we approached Disney and were delighted when they said they would be interested.

"We’re now looking forward to them opening in time for Christmas and are sure they’ll be a popular and successful addition to the centre.

“We’re very excited about JD Sports opening in the Darwin Centre and delighted to welcome Menkind and Chikpe back to the centre – and we look forward to Calendar Club and Megan Hawkins opening shortly.”

Vacancy rates are now at their lowest in the centres since 2012, with 10 per cent available in Darwin and eight per cent in Pride Hill.
