The Annscroft business provided 6,000 metres of pipework for Salop Leisure's new Love2stay resort near the caravan specialist's headquarters at Emstrey near Shrewsbury.

The independent distributor worked alongside subcontractors Broad Gas Services and Rowlands Groundworks Ltd to supply the MDPE, Floplast and Philmac pipework and fittings for the site's water and gas supplies and drainage.

Broad Gas Services, based in Much Wenlock, provided the water and gas services, which meant installing a network of pipes, including for the filtered bore hole water supply that supplies the whole site, including its drinking water, amenities and a filtration system for the park grounds, as well as the gas supplies.

Another local sub contractor, Rowlands Groundworks from Machynlleth which specialises in caravan park development, provided all the underground drainage of the site and touring plots, which meant Pipekit supplying 3,000 metres of underground drainage.

Pipekit boss Martyn Rowlands said: "Watching this development evolve has been great from a local perspective but it has been particularly rewarding to know that we have been played a part.

"We have supplied Salop Leisure previously and it was great to hear they were requesting local suppliers, where possible. Our team has worked closely with Broad Gas Services and Rowlands Groundworks to ensure that the orders were fulfilled on time and where required offered technical advice."

The 22 acre site opened in May, and was designed to be an industry leading luxury facility and a business venture to improve Salop's sustainability in the future. It includes 122 caravan touring plots with facilities such as a natural swimming pool, fishing lake, army style assault course, outdoor yoga facilities, a cinedrome and a wood fired pizza oven. Later this month 11 glamping tents are also due to open.
