Built in 1848, the Grade II-listed Crossing Cottage in Baschurch is the former home of the village's crossing-keeper.
The historic building is located next to the former station on the line between Shrewsbury and Oswestry (today part of the Shrewsbury to Chester line).

Baschurch railway station opened the same year that the cottage was built, but was closed in the 1960s as a casualty of the Beeching cuts.
The cottage would have housed the crossing-keeper until the signal box took over the role in 1880.
Now, the two-bedroom home has gone on the market and is up for grabs for £200,000.

It's been described by Shrewsbury agents Cooper Green Pooks as a "unique and very attractive detached property located on the fringe of the village".
The ground floor features a living room with a feature fireplace and bay window, a dining room with an adjoined kitchen and a bathroom.

Upstairs are two bedrooms - one double and the other a small single - and the home has access to a small private garden, parking area and detached single garage.
