Revealed: The Shropshire town where visitors are spending longer in its streets
A north Shropshire town centre has seen a significant increase in footfall this year with people spending longer periods in its streets.

Data obtained by Visit Shropshire has revealed that most visitors to Market Drayton are spending more than 60 minutes in the town compared to between 20 and 40 minutes last year.
Figures also revealed that visitors are coming from further away each year with Cheshire Street proving the town's busiest street with 70,672 visitors during October alone.
Additionally, 63.9 per cent of people who live in the postcode area of TF9 visited Market Drayton town centre during October, and Cheshire Street, Frogmore Road, High Street, Queen Street and Shropshire Street have all seen an increase in footfall compared to the same period 12 months ago.
