Revealed: Shropshire's most popular baby names for boys and girls

The Office for National Statistics has recently published fresh data that revealed the most popular names for baby boys and girls in England and Wales in 2023.

So we've had a look through the data to reveal what names have been the most popular right here in Shropshire. 

The data is broken down by local authority, so the new figures show the difference in choices made by parents in Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire.

In both authorities, Olivia was the most popular girls' name, with 35 babies given that name. Olivia has been the top-ranked name nationally since 2016.
