Food and coffee loving duo, Amber and Jolyon Iles have recently celebrated the opening of their latest venture, The Beech Tree coffee shop on Albion Hill, Oswestry.

The couple have been helped along with a £5,000 'Breathing New Life into Empty Properties Grant' from Oswestry Town Council.

Amber and Jolyon are already familiar faces around the town. After a trip to Naples where they fell in love with Neapolitan pizza, they began their pizza-making journey in Oswestry in 2012.

They earned their stripes with a mobile pizza van to rave reviews, before opening their first restaurant in 2021, Amber’s Pizza Co restaurant in Beatrice Street.

Amber said: “We have been blown away from the love and support we have had from the community. Getting the grant from the town council has been a real boost to us, we are very thankful.”

The Mayor of Oswestry Cllr Mike Isherwood said: “What a welcome addition to Oswestry. It is wonderful to see this beautiful building in the heart of town brought back to life. We wish them the very best in their latest family venture.”

The Beech Tree is open Tuesday to Saturday from 8.30am to 3.30pm and Sunday from 10am to 2.30pm.
