Over 100 people took part in the Llandrindod Wells Santa fun run
Over 100 people laced up their running shoes recently to take part in the Llandrindod Community Events Santa fun run.
Runners – bedecked in Santa hats, white beards, elf costumes and Christmas jumpers – completed a 2.5km, 5km, or 10km route the lake in Llandrindod Wells.
Runners included participants from The Royal National College for the Blind, Llandrindod Junior Girls Football Club, Rhayder Running Club, and Builth & District Running Club.
The event raised over £500 for St Michael’s Hospice in Hereford.
Lee Percy, Chair of Llandrindod Community Events, said: “This annual event is always a fantastic demonstration of the local community spirit – everyone really gets involved and we’re really grateful to everyone who came out to support the event.
“St Michael’s Hospice is close to my heart, and to many people around here, so it’s great to hear we’re able to help them as a direct result of the event.
“As always, thank you to all of our staff and volunteers for their help with these events – we couldn’t do it without them.”
The event came hot on the heels of the Llandrindod Wells Community Events Christmas Market, held in collaboration with KDM and the Metropole Hotel.
Next up are magical Christmas experiences throughout December with an opportunity to visit Santa and his elves, enjoy some festive treats, and post a letter to the big man himself!
