The Music in New Radnor concert season will welcome an ensemble of recent graduates from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama on Saturday, December 14 at 7.30pm.

Isabelle Harris (flute) Elliot Kempton (viola) and Emily Harris (harp) were born and studied in Wales. Although now based in London, this award-winning ensemble always welcomes the chance to perform for a concert society in the land of their birth.

The evening’s programme is full of musical character and colour, demonstrating the versatility and dimension of the ensemble and includes pieces by mainly 20 th century composers, including the Grammy award-winning contemporary American composer Libby Larsen and Welsh composer William Matthias.

Mary Tolhurst, speaking for MiNR said; “This will be a wonderfully lyrical evening featuring the work of Amy Beach, Arnold Bax, Jacques Ibert, Maurice Ravel, Cécile Chaminade and William Mathias.

“It will show each instrument at its best and be a perfect mix for the marvellous, resonant acoustic of the Community Hall in New Radnor.”

New Radnor is seven miles west of Kington on the A44. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Tickets are £15 and can be reserved in advance, from 01544 350746  or 07493 940683.

Guests are welcome to take along their own drinks this season.
