No TfW trains will run from Shrewsbury to Birmingham on Tuesday - here's why

A train company will not be running any services on a key route in the West Midlands on Tuesday (November 12).

Operator Transport for Wales has announced on social media and on its website that it has a shortage of trains.

The company has posted on X, formerly Twitter that on Tuesday November 12 there will be disruption to TfW services between Shrewsbury and Birmingham International.

A company spokesperson said: "We're experiencing a shortage of our trains which run on services between Shrewsbury and Birmingham.

"As a result, no TfW services will run on this route on Tuesday November 12."

The company adds that trains from another company will be running and passengers can use their tickets with them.

" Your ticket can be used between Shrewsbury and Birmingham International with West Midlands Railway at no extra cost

"Please check your journey before you travel."
