Residents of Knighton came out in their numbers to the towns’ Remembrance Sunday services to show their respects to the country’s war fallen.

The service at Knighton was organised by the Royal British Legion, Knighton Town Council and St Edward’s Church. The parade was led by town crier Derrick Price.

Thomas Heakin read the names of the fallen and Justin Rees spoke in Welsh, the exhortation and the Kohima were ercited. Marty Jones was the parade marshal and standard bearer and the service was led by the Reverend Rachael Storer.

Knighton Town Silver Band played during the service and afterwards there was a service at St Edward’s Church.
