Bayston Hill crash: Road reopens with two way traffic lights in place

A vital Shropshire A-road has re-opened in Shropshire following a lorry crash at Bayston Hill.

But two way traffic lights have now been installed on the A49 so that specialist engineers can inspect the buildings.

A spokesperson for National Highways said: “The A49 has been reopened both ways between A5 - A5112 (at Dobbies Island near Bayston Hill, Shrewsbury (south) and B4371 (Church Stretton) due to the earlier collision.

“A two way traffic lights system has been installed for specialist engineers to inspect the buildings.”
