Set within the sweet south Shropshire village of Ashford Bowdler near Ludlow, the semi-detached house will go to auction on December 11, and currently has a guide price of £160,000.
The Grade II listed property received a price reduction on Saturday (November 9) and features a cottage-style garden, a garage and off-road parking.
Entering the property through a porch that leads into a large living room, there is a window overlooking the rear garden, period beams and a red brick fireplace with woodburning stove in situ.
A door leads through to an entrance hall with a door to the outside and into the kitchen. There is also a large hallway with stairs rising to the first floor.
The cottage has retained its character throughout with period features and timber frames on show. The first floor boasts two "good sized" double bedrooms and a landing leading to a toilet.
Outside, the property boasts large gardens that wrap around the front, side, and back of the house. The garden is mostly laid to lawn with mature shrubs and trees, while there is also a patio area off the kitchen providing outdoor seating space.
Meanwhile, to the front of the cottage is a pathway to the drive and a detached garage.
The listing describes the property as "a beautiful semi-detached Grade II listed thatched cottage in need of complete renovation."
It added that Ashford Bowdler is surrounded by "some of the most beautiful countryside in the area".
The property is being sold through Nock Deighton's Land and Property Auction on Wednesday, December 11 at 6.00pm.
The auction will take place at Castle Hall, Bridgnorth.
