Marcus Burton, 33, faced charges of conspiracy to commit burglary and money laundering in September at Shrewsbury Crown Court.

The defendant, of Mayfarm Close, Hollywood, Birmingham, gave no pleas when he appeared alongside four others at Monday's hearing.

They were Martin Steadman, 34, of Luce Road, Low Hill; Mohammed Maneer Khan, 31, of Great Hampton Street, Whitmore Reans; Michael Soloman Stubbs, 32, of Asheridge Close, Wednesfield, all Wolverhampton. And Noel Anthony Reilly, 39, of Barnes Hill, Weoley Castle, Birmingham.

The trial is due to be held on a date to be fixed.

This will follow a review hearing on February 1.

The case relates to the confiscation of a significant amount of money and other items following a joint operation between West Mercia Police and West Midlands Regional Organised Crime Unit from alleged thefts from incidents across the UK dating to 2017.
