Baby boy hit by falling scaffolding in Oswestry

A baby boy narrowly escaped serious injury after a piece of material fell off scaffolding in Oswestry and hit his pram.

West Midland Ambulance Service were called at 10.01am, on Tuesday, to the incident on The Cross.

One ambulance attended, with paramedics treating a baby boy who had suffered an injury to his face.

However, he escaped with only a minor injury.

Jamie Arrowsmith from West Midland Ambulance Service added: "Thankfully it was only a minor injury and he was able to be discharged at the scene."

Last year a baby in Newport was also lucky to escape serious injury when a sign fell 20ft from an opticians onto his pram.
