Nine lorries burn in industrial estate blaze

Nine lorries were involved in a blaze which took firefighters two hours to put out in the early hours.

Crews were sent to the Shifnal Industrial Estate on Lamledge Lane after receiving reports of a fire involving the HGVs at just after 1.30am on Saturday.

Six fire appliances, including the Incident Command Unit and the Water Carrier were sent from Bridgnorth, Shrewsbury, Telford Central, Tweedale and Wellington.

Safety officers as well as Hazmat and operations were also at the scene.

The fire was extinguished almost two hours later.
