Beautiful blooms, prized vegetables and hand-made crafts will be among the attractions at Horsehay Flower Vegetable and Craft Show on August 26.

The event, organised by Horsehay Horticultural Society, will be held in the village hall.

Society chairman Beryl Onions said the event had been running for more than 70 years, and attracted entries from as far afield as Shrewsbury, Bridgnorth and Wolverhampton.

"It is always very colourful, with a lot of entries," she added.

"We have a children's section which is always very popular, and we get a lot of people coming."

Entries must be presented at the hall in Bridge Road between 6.30pm and 9pm tomorrow.

The show opens at 3pm on Saturday, and the exhibits will be on display for anybody to see.

Prizes will be presented at 6pm.
