Witness appeal over crash near Bridgnorth which left woman seriously injured

Police have appealed for witnesses to a car crash which left a woman with serious injuries.

The crash took place on the A458 near Bridgnorth at about 4.45pm on Friday.

Three vehicles were involved, a white Mercedes HGV, a silver Toyota pick-up truck, and a red Kia car.

Both the drivers of the HGV and the pick-up truck were travelling southbound towards Six Ashes from Bridgnorth, with the car travelling in the opposite direction, when the crash took place.

The driver of the car, a woman in her 30s, was seriously injured and taken to the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Birmingham.

A young child who was a passenger in the car, and the driver of the pick up truck also sustained slight injuries.

Sarah-Jane Lynch of West Mercia Police said extensive damage had been caused to all three vehicles.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or the vehicles beforehand is asked to contact 101, quoting incident number 423 of October 2.
