Police seek flat-cap pensioner over Shrewsbury parking row assault

A pensioner in a flat cap is being sought by police after a man was assaulted in Shrewsbury in a row over parking.

The incident took place in Wenlock Road on December 1 at about 1.15pm. Police says it is believed the victim, a man in his 30s, was injured after he was punched in the face following a "verbal altercation" over a parking issue.

The pensioner who police want to speak to

A spokesman said that the pensioner police want to speak to was about 70 years old and 5ft 10ins tall. He was wearing glasses, a grey flat cap, dark wax jacket and blue jeans.

The pensioner is understood to have spoken with a Shrewsbury accent.

Police would like speak to the man and ask anyone who may have any information as to his whereabouts to contact police on the non-emergency number 101 and quote the incident reference 317s of December 1.
