Problems began at the Crown Inn on Stafford Street in Market Drayton on Saturday night when a man allegedly tipped a drink over a woman in the pub.

After the doorman asked him to leave, five men are thought to have surrounded him and assaulted him and another doorman.

When the police arrived just after 9.45pm, they saw one of the men throw a bistro style table down the street before running away.

Dennis Parton, 53, and Max Parton, 25, were arrested for assaulting a police officer, while Nicholas Parton, 22, was arrested for being drunk and disorderly and resisting arrest. The three men have been charged and are on bail until they appear at Shrewsbury Magistrates Court on September 4. Call police on 101.
