Train death was suicide

A Shropshire man who stepped in front of a train intended to commit suicide, an inquest has concluded.

A hearing into the death of 53-year-old Nigel James Clements, of Green Farm, Wentnor, near Bishop's Castle, was held in Milton Keynes.

Mr Clements was said to have travelled to Milton Keynes station on February 18, where he climbed down on to the track and stood in the path of a high speed train.

Milton Keynes Coroner Tom Osborne recorded a verdict of suicide at the hearing, which took place on Thursday.
