Poll: Should foxhunting with hounds remain illegal?

News | Published:

After Shropshire hunts held their traditional festive meets, attracting thousands of spectators, we want to know where you stand on the law regarding foxhunting.

Crowds of onlookers gather to watch members of the Teme Valley Hunt gather for the Boxing Day meet at Knighton

It comes after a poll for the League Against Cruel Sports and the RSPCA found 80% of the public believe foxhunting should remain illegal, with support equally strong in both rural and urban areas.

Supporters of foxhunting are pushing for a new vote on the ban, which had been promised by the coalition Government following the 2010 general election. In October Prime Minister David Cameron said he has ''sympathy'' with calls for the rules on foxhunting to be loosened.
