Radzi Chinyanganya was back at Adams' Grammar School, Newport – where he studied from the age of 11 to 18 – to film a background piece about his early life.

Radzi became Blue Peter's 37th presenter when he joined the team in October.

The 26-year-old described the school as "awesome".

It was during his time at Adams' that Radzi first developed his enthusiasm for presenting.

He was encouraged to take part in debating competitions, first of all in inter-house competitions and later as part of the school team. He was also an extremely keen sportsman and his long jump record of 5.99 metres stands to this day. The visit will be broadcast on January 2 on CBBC at 5.30pm.
