Jason Manford, Andre Rieu, Ranulph Fiennes and more: Top theatre shows heading to Shropshire

Some big names in the world of music and entertainment are heading to the county this year.

Shropshire's theatres have organised a top line-up of artists, tribute acts, comedians, shows and more for 2019.

Theatre Severn in Shrewsbury has already sold-out for a number of shows including comedian Jason Manford, violinist Andre Rieu and explorer Ranulph Fiennes.

And tickets are also selling fast for performances in February including Alfie Moore's stand-up tour, Nish Kumar and The Classic Rock Show.

As always, the theatre will end the year with its popular Christmas pantomime which will be Aladdin.

Shropshire's favourite dame Brad Fitt is back for 2019 and audiences can expect all the magic and mayhem that pantomimes at Theatre Severn have become renowned for.

Over in Telford, Oakengates has a year of entertainment planned, including wrestling shows, comedy nights and sporting guests.

Some of the country's best tribute acts will be taking to the stage in Telford.

In January, soul and jazz singer Janine Johnson will perform Aretha: Respect, and in February a popular Little Mix tribute will perform their popular Black Magic show.

Other show include Jim Davidson, the Dreamboys, an evening with Steve Bull and Circus of Horrors.

A whole host of tribute acts are also signed up to perform at Theatre on the Steps in Bridgnorth, including Forever Elton, Viva La Coldplay, Strictly Abba, Hats off to Led Zeppelin, and Duran Duran Experience.

The Commander of Magic - an established magician who combines knowledge, showmanship and skill to wow his audiences, performs in February.

Tickets are also on sale for Back In Our Day - The Life and Times of The Dancing Grannies.

The show is billed as a hilarious comedy charting the friendship of three remarkable Black Country women and how they met through their love of dance.
