Bridgnorth Players to perform Noel Coward production Nude With Violin - in pictures

An amateur theatre company will be putting on a Noel Coward production for its latest performance.

Bridgnorth Players will perform the comedy 'Nude with Violin', a satire set in 1950s Paris.

The play tells a story of modern art, a fraudulent artist, and the chaos that ensues following his death.

The production is being directed by Liz Herdson and features a cast of 14, made up of some Bridgnorth Players stalwarts, and some other newcomers.

Liz Roseblade of Bridgnorth Players, said they expect the production, and the cast, to prove a hit with the audiences.

She said: "This is a great comedy, one of Coward’s finest, and we’re sure it will appeal to our audiences.

“We have put together a wonderful cast featuring actors well-known to our local playgoers and others who are joining us for the first time.”

The Bridgnorth Players production of Nude with Violin will be performed at several venues from May 11 to 19.

The first show will take place at The Birchmeadow Centre, Broseley, on Friday May 11.

That will be followed by Quatt Village Hall on Saturday, May 12, and Chelmarsh Parish Hall on Friday, May 18.

The final performance will take place at The Community Hall, Low Town, Bridgnorth, on Saturday, May 19.

All performances begin at 7.30pm and tickets cost £8 if that are booked before May 7.

They will cost £10 after that date or on the door.

Block bookings bring the cost of tickets down to £7 per person for a party of six or more, if booked before May 7.
