The Hunger Games in Birmingham concert screening

A concert screening of The Hunger Games will come to Birmingham this summer.

The show, set to take place at The Symphony Hall, will see the blockbuster screened in HD on a huge screen alongside a full symphony orchestra.

Based on the successful trilogy of young adult fiction books by Suzanne Collins, the film is set in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic future, telling story of Katniss Everdeen, who takes part in the Hunger Games, a televised competition in which the twelve districts of the country of Panem choose a person at random to fight to the death.

The award-winning movie's cast includes stars such as Jennifer Lawrence, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz, Stanley Tucci, Toby Jones, and Donald Sutherland.

The show will take place on July 15.

Tickets, priced between £39.50 and £66, go on sale this Friday at 10am.
