Cedric 'The Entertainer', D.L. Hughley and George Lopez: US comedians to play Birmingham

A trio of American comedians will tickle fans' funnybones when they come to Birmingham later this year.

The Comedy Get Down, which is set to take place at the Barclaycard Arena, will star George Lopez, Cedric 'The Entertainer' and D.L. Hughley.

George Lopez is an actor and comedian, best known in the US for his self-produced ABC sitcom George Lopez. He has also starred in films such as Fatal Instinct, Valentine's Day, Marmaduke and Meet The Blacks.

Next on the bill is comedian, actor, director and game show host Cedric 'The Entertainer'.

Roles he is best known for playing include the part of Maurice in Madagascar and Carl in Ice Age. Other films and TV shows he has appeared on include Master Of None, Why Him? and Barbershop.

Last, but not least, is US actor, political commentator and radio host D.L. Hughley.

Hughley is a published author, including his latest best-seller Black Man, White House: An Oral History of the Obama Years. He was honoured with a prestigious Peabody Award for his satirical documentary special DL Hughley: The Endangered List, which earned him wide critical praise. Among his many TV appearances, Hughley appeared in the TV drama Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.

The three comedians will perform at the Barclaycard Arena on November 1.

Tickets to the show go on sale this Friday at 9am.
