Judges will whittle down the remaining acts to a final 12, and members of the audience will be able to have their say as well.

It will be a difficult task, and organisers say the breadth of talent on display this year has blown them away.

Shaquille Dennis-Miller, organiser, said: “With the judge’s ready to see what the contestants have to bring, they also need the help of an audience to decide who deserves a place to become the final 12 acts in the competition.

“I’m extremely excited to see the contestants next performance, the talent this year has blown us all away, and I am so happy to be a part of it.”

The audience will have a chance to participate in the filming for the semi-finals of Telford’s Got Talent that will be shown on the live final.

There will also be chance to win two free tickets to the live show, with backstage passes to meet the judges.

Shaquille said the show had come along way since he first thought of it five years ago. “I was sitting in my room thinking I would love to put on a talent show,” he said. “I got in contact with my siblings and pitched the idea, they all agreed would be a great family business.

“Four years later we put everything into motion and Telford’s Got Talent 2018 was a huge success and a sell-out show.

“My family grew up performing on stage, being on TV and performing at carnivals, weddings and in front of the Queen. We wanted to give people the experience we got when performing in front of an audience. Although it’s a competition, we want all contestants to enjoy the moment and to have fun.”

Tickets are still available for Saturday’s show, which will take place at Oakengates Theatre from 6pm. Tickets cost £7.

The final will take place on June 15, with tickets costing £15 for adults or £10 for children.

Judges for the final will include EastEnders Star Ricky Norwood, Telford & Wrekin Council leader Councillor Shaun Davies and Telford’s Got Talent 2018 winners Intrigue.
