Hot weather and plenty of fun was the order of the day at this year's Newport Show.

Ice cream to keep cool, dancing yellow diggers and livestock competitions were among the attractions at the one-day event at Chetwynd Deer Park, in Shrewsbury Road, on Saturday.

Entertainment featured the ever popular sheep show with a dancing display.

There were more than 140 livestock, sheep and equine classes, an open dog show featuring Crufts qualifying classes, vintage vehicles, trade stands, handicraft competitions and fairground rides.

Music was provided by several bands including The Pantasy Steel Band, The Endings and City of Wolverhampton Brass Band.

Guest presenters included Great British Bake Off 2017 runner-up Steven Carter-Bailey and new TV barbecue queens Samantha Evans and Shauna Guinn.

The show's organisers said the event has gone down a treat.
