Weird and wonderful hairstyles were the order of the day at the International Centre and Telford's centre for the two-day event, which ended yesterday, with barbers packing out the conference centre and nearby hotels.

Barber Connect is Europe's largest barber exhibition, boasting an opportunity for barbers and hair cosmetic brands to show off their products and share ideas, as well as display their skills in live competitions.

Seminars were hosted by well-known and accomplished members of the trade including Bobbie Bones of the Netherlands, the Fevang Brothers from Norway, and Hayden Cassidy from Dublin.

A collective of 12 barbers known as Project X also appeared, explaining their mission – to raise money to support those who want to become barbers but cannot afford to do so.

Some of the professional exhibitors at the show included Oil Can Grooming, Wahl and Aston & Fincher.
