From 999 calls to crafting balloons as Louie changes career
Louie Croston used to work in a police control room in Shropshire – but now she blows up balloons for a living.
The 41-year-old from Telford ditched her job at West Mercia Police’s Shrewsbury switchboard.
She took a career turn and now entertains children with face-painting and balloon modelling.
Today she speaks about the joys of being a children’s entertainer as the Shropshire Star celebrates the fifth anniversary of the Weekend supplement, saying: “I love my job because it’s fun and I’m making people happy.”
