Hoo Farm Animal Kingdon, at Preston on the Weald Moors, has welcomed a eight baby skunks.

Born at the start of May, some are still at the zoo, with others set to go to other zoos to help teach guests about skunks.

Will Dorrell, Hoo Farm Animal Kingdom Partner, says: "The skunk kits are about eight-weeks- old and were born here back at the beginning of May.

"We had eight overall and they are all fit and healthy.

"Many of them have now been rehomed to other collection to be used for educational purposes."

Skunks are mostly native to the Americas and have the ability to spray a liquid with a strong unpleasant smell.

Different species of skunk vary in appearance from black-and-white to brown, cream or ginger colored, but all have the same striped colouration.
