What a wonderful world, the title of the concert on April 21, will see the choir embarks on a musical journey around the world.

Hazel Davis said: "When you consider how fleeting popular music can be it is amazing that this selection of music has enjoyed decades of popularity.

"The choir will sing in Swedish, Japanese, Spanish, French, Swahili, English and of course Welsh. This appealing music is easy to listen to as each song has its own charm and beauty. It includes Sakura, El Vito, Sous le Ciel de Paris, La Cumparsita, Moscow Nights and many more, concluding with the ever popular Welsh favourite Hafan Gobaith.

Joining the choir will be Katherine Macdonald a young singer from Ellesmere, a soloist and director with Oswestry Musical Theatre.

The concert, conducted by Dawn Jaffray, takes place on April 21 at the Marches School at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced £10 for adults and free to children under the age of sixteen and are available from choir members, Oswestry Herbarium, Albion Hill, Oswestry, on the door, or by telephone 01691 654802. Refreshments will be available.
