Hung Up is a pensive look back on his life from Faulks, who said of it: “Hung Up is a song about not being able to get over the disappointments of the past.

"It’s easy to keep replaying these events, isolating different factors to blame for their failure while, conveniently, ignoring your own part in their demise. You can’t hide from your own truth; the only way to improve is acceptance and then working out the best way of dealing with it."

Once again produced by Eliot James (Noah & The Whale, Two Door Cinema Club, Bloc Party), the new single follows the release of his debut single It Rains and the follow-up Blackout in 2018.

Both songs proved hits on the airwaves with support coming from Radio 1 and Radio X, while they clocked up more than a million streams across Apple Music and Spotify.

The songs are a taste of Faulks' forthcoming debut album, which fans have been treated to a sneak preview of during his touring last year.

Archie Faulks will play the new single Hung Up during his show at Birmingham's Actress & Bishop on April 20. Tickets are available here.
