Bloodstock Festival 2019: Anthrax announced to play Midlands event

American thrash icons Anthrax will play Bloodstock Festival next year.

The New York quintet formed in 1981, and are best known for songs such as Got the Time, Madhouse, Caught in a Mosh, and Bring the Noise.

The band has released 11 studio albums, several other albums, and 26 singles, including collaborating on a single with American hip hop group Public Enemy.

Also announced to join the festival bill are Dimmu Borgir, Thy Art Is Murder, and Tesseract.

They will join the likes of Sabaton, Scorpions, Children of Bodom, Cradle of Filth and more for the three-day Catton Park event.

Bloodstock Festival will take place from August 8 to 11 at Catton Park.
