The Magic Gang set to play Birmingham
Fast-rising Beach Boys sound-a-likes The Magic Gang will headline Birmingham’s O2 Institute on September 22.
With upbeat reviews across the board, a Radio 1 playlist for recent single Getting Along, and a nomination for Best New Artist at the NME Awards, they have emerged as a force to be reckoned with. Their self-titled debut album confirmed their rising status and is currently the highest-charting debut from a British rock band this year. They have been dubbed Britain’s best new guitar band and likened to both The Beach Boys and The Beatles.
Their new single, All That I Want Is You, is out now. Inspired by stories from Brian Wilson’s controversial autobiography Wouldn’t It Be Nice, All That I Want Is You puts a slow-burning spin on their melodically buoyant, harmony-rich sound.
