The all day event will go ahead on Sunday, August 12, after just over two months of planning and breathless organising by Mike Smith and Tim Beckett.

The two began working on the event after being inspired by a similar Whitchurch event. Since early June the party has grown beyond all expectations, now boasting eight hours of musical performances, much of them by Shropshire acts.

Mike said: "The park is going to be pretty full like you have never seen before. We have a large kiddies' funfair arriving - the number of rides depends how fast they can exit the Cheddleton carnival and get over here.

"There are also going to be bouncy castles and a massive quad bike course for kiddies involving a big inflatable course. There are a number of varied food stalls, a bar, a cocktails company and fortune tellers, festival stalls, headbands, parasols, great festival feel goods and a range of all kinds of trade stalls, too many to mention.

"Everyone is working together to produce a great free day. Please come along, enjoy yourself, and put rubbish in the personal bags issued on the gate and dispose of it in the large bins."

The event will get underway at 11am and run until 7pm.
