They were due to headline Birmingham’s O2 on May 25 – but the date was rescheduled until tonight.

Fans can look forward to songs from their forthcoming album Dare, as well as tunes from their debut, 100, which earned them breathless comparisons with Kings of Leon, Foals and Queen.

The band features Ryan Potter, Dan Dorney, Junate Angin and Jack Metcalfe and they formed in 2015 when Dan and Ryan were attending the same college. Their first single was released at the end of 2015 while their debut 16-track album followed in 2016, earning them a number three hit on the indie chart and a number 13 hit on the main album chart.

They headlined the Festival Republic stage at Reading & Leads festival in 2017, where they first announced they were in the process of writing their second album, Dare. And they went back on the road for a second ‘100’ tour, playing in the UK, Europe, Australia and USA with Night Riots and Coasts supporting.

Their new album was due to be released on May 25 but it was postponed to July because fans said it clased with their exam season.

Ryan says fans will be surprised by the direction of their second album: “Yeah. I think a lot of people are going to be quite surprised by some of the songs, in a good way though. I think we’ve challenged ourselves. We wanted to make an album that still has The Hunna sound from the first album but it’s obviously a development. We’ve grown as people in the last year and experienced a lot of new things. And again it’s an album about kind of what happened in the past year to us, and the journey.” Ryan has been bowled over by the band’s success and loves playing big shows in Brixton, Manchester and Birmingham.

“It’s crazy. It’s still really weird for us.”
