Hertford band Deep Purple - the original line-up of which once starred Cannock's Glenn Hughes - formed back in 1968. The group is best known for a range of songs, such as Smoke On The Water, Highway Star, Perfect Strangers and Hush.

Europe, meanwhile, was founded back in 1979 in Sweden. The band - led by heartthrob Joey Tempest - is famed for an array of songs, including The Final Countdown, Rock The Night, Let The Good Times Rock and More Than Meets The Eye.

The rock giants will be supported by West Sussex 'power pop' band Cats In Space.

The show will take place at Arena Birmingham on Friday, November 17.

Tickets for the gig are now on sale.
