The entertainer, alias Nick Moulton from Shrewsbury, will be juggling and fire-eating as part of the entertainment being put on in Llanfechain.

The Llanfechain Show, held in two marquees in the centre of the village and on the show field, is known for its focus on families.

As well as the competitions and arts and crafts, attractions will include the return of the Mid Wales Boat Club with its collection of model boats and the chance to have a go at sailing them on the waterway created for the day. Paul Melton will be there with his birds of prey and Simon Airey will show off his exotic creatures. There will be a dog show, live music and dance.

Kaleidoscope Theatre also returns this year with its unique mime performances and there will also be stalls and sideshows, bouncy castles, go karts and classic vehicle displays.

The show will be one of dozens of events across the region taking place on Bank Holiday Monday as the long summer comes to an end.

Early forecasts suggest the sun may shine for the bank holiday, although the hot temperatures experienced in the past few weeks have now passed.
