The Royal Welsh Spring Festival in Builth Wells has more attractions than ever this year, organisers say.

It takes place at the Royal Welsh Showground on May 19 and 20 May .

Equestrian events include showjumping, working hunter classes and the sport of scurry racing.

Pairs of ponies pulling specially-built racing carriages weave their way through a series of obstacles at break-neck speed. As the drivers urge their ponies on to notch up the fastest time, their grooms battle to keep the carriages from overturning.

There will be a display of skill by riders from the James Dylan’s Stuntworld Motorcycle Stunt Show when on a more gentle note Meirion Owen and his Quack Pack will beat the festival combining the skills of his clever Border Collies with Indian Runner ducks.

Visitors will be able to watch the BASC Gundog Display team show off the talents of the skilful handlers and clever dogs showing how anyone can train a dog.

There will be Footgolf, a tug-of-war competition along with a

display called the Festival of Welsh Land Rovers. Made up of Welsh Land Rover clubs, displaying a large number of vehicles, ranging from vintage models up to the highly modified vehicles used in endurance events in the modern day.
