It’ll be a celebration of the best of British music – and all for a good cause.

AFC Bridgnorth Ladies are collecting money to buy a new defibrillator to be housed at Bridgnorth football club.

To boost their funds, they’re holding an evening of fun and music on Saturday at Crown Meadow in Victoria Road. There will be performances from local musicians Tom Barras, John Britton and Amy Winehouse tribute act Am I Winehouse.

Am I Winehouse, aka Deborah Adams, said: “Come and check out some great music for a great cause. If you like to sing along and boogie to ‘proper’ British classics you can’t go wrong with this event.

“Join the fun and help to raise money for a life-saving defibrillator.”

Entry to the concert will be free of charge, but donations will be accepted on the evening.

The Best of British concert will kick off from around 8pm. Raffle prizes up for grabs include a family ticket to Bridgnorth cinema, a cocktail making class for four people worth £80 donated by Peepos, a month’s free membership to Halo Bridgnorth leisure centre, £20 voucher for a meal for two at Bamboo and a donation from Alley Katz toy shop.
